meat loaf/giant meatball is a consist of ground meat with some other ingredients. Here I used some ground pork, but you could easily work with any ground meat chicken/turkey/beef/lamb or anything you prefer.
P O L P E T T O N E is what in Italy they call. Normally I cook the store bought polpettone with my usual creamy sauce Or sometimes I slow cook it completely with broth. Simmer my broth and make a delicious broth sauce to glaze on the top.
Wanted to make a store bought polpettone, but after seeing ground meat thought to make my own. Use the same ingredients that I normally used to mix my classic Italian meatballs. but added Worcestershire sauce and Italian seasoning as an extra ingredients. Instead of making my usual creamy sauce/broth sauce wanted to make a new glaze. Found this sauce recipe from YouTube. But they were adding more/less ingredients, I decided to glaze with what I have in my kitchen. Really worked well. And remember don’t over mix your meat. Mix around 2 minutes and make sure they all well mixed. Because over mixing meat will dry your loaf.
I used sheet pan prepared with parchment paper to form my loaf. But if you are unable to do it, use a baking loaf tin. Prepare with a parchment paper and place the mixed meat into it.
For my form, my meat amount it took around 50-55 minutes in my oven. This time will depend on your form, the heat of your oven. So after pass 40 minutes keep eye on it.
