BEETROOT CRÊPES

Crêpes with Nutella is one of my favourite crêpes, but this time I wanted to try some beetroot crêpes.

I got some beetroots in my refrigerator, couple of days ago I bought them to cook a beetroot curry. But I thought some crêpes or pancakes will be great with beetroot. So decided to make some crêpes with them.

Here I didn’t used sugar or any other sweetness for the batter, because I wanted to try it as both savoury and sweet. So I tried some with fried eggs and bacon and some with maple syrup and blueberries.

TBH I love the beetroot crêpes with maple syrup and blueberries. The recipe ingredients and directions are below.

1.whisk 2 large eggs with 1/4cup of melted butter and pinch of salt and 1/2tsp of  ground cinnamon.

2.into the egg mixture add 1cup of finely grated beet. I used box grater to grate it finely and mix with the above ingredients.

3.add 1,1/2cup of flour with 1,1/4cup of fresh milk and mix well until they all are beaten. Careful with milk, may be less or more. Cooperate with your ingredients until you get the thick runny batter.

4.heat a non stick saucepan in a medium heat.

5.wet a paper towel with some oil/melted butter and grease over the pan.

6.pour some batter over the heated pan and spread, cook both side until they are done. May takes about 30 seconds for each sides.
