SPICY SHRIMP PASTA

 

Who doesn’t love some seafood pasta? Specially when it is shrimps….

Cooked some pasta with shrimps with tomato sauce with touch of spiciness, because we were craving for some shrimps for long. Finally got some shrimps from the market and used some for create this beautiful dish. Never had a clue on what’s happening here. Just started with the sautéing onion garlic and shrimps then added the rest just by the moment. You know every time I create the best dish without having a proper recipe. Just adding ingredients whatever I want while cooking, helps me to create an awesome plate at the end.  

Here I used fresh pasta, some fettuccine. The only long pasta I had at the moment. But you are totally free to use any type of long pasta, and they don’t need to be fresh. Spaghetti, linguine, bavette or anything you prefer. 

1.got 250g shrimps. Take off the head and shell. leave the tail, clean and wash well. 

2.bring a pot of water to boil with salt to cook the pasta. Meantime start to cook your pasta. This sauce won’t take much time. Here I cooked 200g fresh pasta, fettuccine according to the package instructions. 

3.heat a large pan/wok with 3tbs olive oil and add diced 1/2 small onion and 3 minced garlic cloves. Sauté until onion are soft. 

4.add the shrimps and cook both sides about minute or two. 

5.add 1tbsp tomato concentrate and mix with the shrimps. Add 6-7tbsp tomato puree, salt, 1/2tbs dried chilli flakes, 1/2tsp dried oregano to the pan and cook about 5-7 minutes while mixing the sauce in low flame. 

6.meantime drain the cooked pasta and add to the pan and mix with shrimps. Keep mixing in low flame about a minute and add freshly chopped handful of parsley, mix and serve.
